Let's start by examining the type of information and take, as an example, the digital cartography of the Municipality of Bari. In it we can:
- report the existing analogue cartography in digital format and make it interactive;
- recall the photoplanes of the neighborhoods, which we can enlarge or reduce at will and where we can detect the distances with two clicks;
- recall the thematic map of the same neighborhood and connect any key to click the mouse to detect the measurements or recall any other information, such as the card of a monument;
- recall the stereophotogrammetric relief of the monument or the simple photocopy of the elevation;
We can not overlook, then, that the photographic image is no longer static, in fact with the 360-degree photographic shooting we can:
- enjoy the integral view of the interior of a monument (by keeping the mouse button down, we can move the picture with the cursor to the right or left, up or down);
- move in the various environments by clicking on the shooting points;
- make some areas of the photo interactive (with mouseDown on the arrow, we can make sensitive areas visible) to move to other documents.
To the above we must add the possibility, that the images can be:
- acquired directly from a WebCam, such as that of the dome of Florence or the one pointed at the bell tower of Cortina d'Ampezzo or that of the laboratory. Also in this case the image can be made interactive; in fact, in the case of the laboratory, by clicking on the computer, it is possible to recall, on an external photo, the image of the same which can be enlarged or rotated around the three axes. The shooting interval is on average one hour, but can be adjusted as desired;
- stereometric, thanks to the arrangement of two WebCams and the use of a Java applet, which can allow not only the survey, but also processing via the network for the purpose of better reading;
